Free Zumba ClassesZumba includes music with fast and slow rhythms, as well as resistance training.  A combination of salsa, meringue, and hip hop, Zumba provides a cardio and strength workout.Interested in learning Zumba? The Recreation department offers free lessons through one of our recreation partners.Please note that lessons are typically 30 minutes in length, and are offered weekly for Adults. Since these lessons are currently held on Zoom, participants will receive an e-mail with the log in information the day before (Wednesdays) by noon.

Free Yoga Classes  Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning "to join." It is a practice that joins, connects, or unifies the physical body, mental body, and spiritual body. Throughout each session, you will learn the different "asanas" or postures using proper body alignment techniques through various sequences. You'll have opportunities to build on your practice, increasing your strength, improving flexibility, coordination, and balance. Each class will also focus on breath work and allow you to explore your mind to discover more about yourself and get in touch with who you are; improving focus, mental clarity and your overall sense of well being. You'll also discover the countless health benefits of yoga including lowered blood pressure and slower pulse rate, improvements in digestion, the immune system, sleep, and managing stress.The Recreation department offers FREE adult weekly classes. Classes are 60-65 minutes and are for all levels, whether you are beginning and brand new to yoga or have been practicing for months or years. Each session will include various styles of yoga including gentle, hatha, and vinyasa. Please bring your mat, water, a facemask, and any extra layers (sweatshirt, blanket, etc.). 6:00 PM - 8:45 PM    Drop Off Movie Nights - Friday Movie Night
Twice a month at the Reilly School the City of Lowell hosts kids movie nights.  Drop off your child at 6pm and pick up by 8:30pm.  Kids will play games and at 6:30pm a movie will be shown.  We ask that kids who attend, watch the movie so as not to distract from other participants.  Disruptive kids will not be allowed back.

The Lowell Recreation office offers two separate floor hockey programs.  There is a drop in Floor Hockey program that offers kids a chance to play at night with no season long commitment.  There is also a Junior League for 9-13 year old kids that runs for about 20 weeks from Mid October - Mid March.  All registered participants will be place don teams.  Preseason is two weeks in October, followed by a 12 week season, an all star game in February and playoffs/Finals in March.All equipment is provided by the City of Lowell, except Helmets when required.If your child wants to participate in both programs then please register for both activities.PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
